It often turns out that in an attempt to keep pace with the corresponding changes that are taking place in the lives of people in our modern world, one has to endure stress. But how to define stress? Is it really an adversity that some people have to deal with? Or stress is just a phase some of us go through at times when there seems to be no way out?

Stress is more than feeling overwhelmed. It acts as some sort of alarm system within us that goes off each time we approach a difficult situation or an event posing a certain level of threat to us. This might be due to strict timelines imposed at our workplace, economic instability, or disagreements in our personal lives which are affecting our state of mind and health differently. And in reality, there could be a thousand more causes of stress that this world can bring us.

Before stress can be managed properly, one must first find out its sources. As previously mentioned, these can include pressures at work or being in bad relationships as well as economic challenges or poor health.
